AUTHOR’S NOTE:

This story was an alien invasion story mixed with an epidemic/plague focus, inspired by endless commutes on the El trains in Chicago. It was fueled by my own research on parasites, which are a terrifying form of life that calls into question any sense of celestial benevolence. I toyed with confined urban living with the horrifying biomechanics of infestation.
